Based in Overland Park, Kansas, Sporting Blue Valley (SBV) is a premier youth soccer organization and an official Academy Affiliate of Sporting KC. Since its founding in 1977, the club has evolved from a local recreational league into a nationally recognized leader in youth soccer, serving thousands of players from Pre-K through High School.
As the largest club in Kansas, Sporting Blue Valley creates a seamless pathway for player growth, offering a robust Recreational Program alongside a tiered Premier Program that includes participation in the Heartland Soccer Association, Pre-ECNL Girls, MADL Girls, ECNL-RL Girls, ECNL Girls, Sporting Development League, National Academy League, and MLS NEXT.
As a founding member of the Sporting Club Network, Sporting Blue Valley connects players directly to the resources of a professional MLS team. This affiliation provides unique opportunities, including a role as a feeder club for the Sporting KC Academy, coaching education, and exclusive access to events at Childrenâs Mercy Park.
Led by a dedicated staff of paid professional coaches and supported by hundreds of volunteers, SBV calls the world-class SCHEELS Overland Park Soccer Complex home.

Training Programs

SBV Ball Mastery
The Sporting Blue Valley (SBV) Ball Mastery program is a supplemental training series designed for PreK through 3rd-grade players of beginner and intermediate levels. Held on Friday nights at the SCHEELS Overland Park Soccer Complex, the program focuses on building critical ball control, coordination, and confidence. The curriculum utilizes a "Play-Practice-Play" methodology led exclusively by SBV Pro Staff coaches (no volunteers), ensuring a low 1:12 coach-to-player ratio for maximum individual attention.
SBV Goalkeeper Academy
The Sporting Blue Valley (SBV) Goalkeeper Academy offers specialized, high-level training designed to elevate goalkeepers of all ages and abilities. Led by a staff of National Champions and former professionals, the Academy utilizes a comprehensive curriculum built on the "Four Pillars" of the position: Physical, Technical, Tactical, and Psychological development. Programs range from advanced sessions for top-tier players to a dedicated 10-week Spring Academy for recreational and non-premier players looking to master the fundamentals without team pressure.
SBV Futsal Skills Club
The Sporting Blue Valley (SBV) Futsal Skills Club provides a fast-paced, technical training environment for Kâ5th graders looking to improve their footwork and speed of play. Held on Friday nights at Prairie Star and Aspen Grove Elementary schools, the program utilizes the small-sided futsal format (played on a hard court with a low-bounce ball) to develop quicker decision-making and sharper ball control. Each five-week winter session is led by professional SBV coaching staff, ensuring a high-quality developmental experience for recreational and competitive players alike.
SBV Soccer Pals
SBV Soccer Pals is a developmental playgroup designed for boys and girls ages 2½ to 5 years old. Held at Prestige Indoor Sports (435 & Metcalf), this five-week program introduces young children to the basics of soccerâdribbling, passing, and shootingâin a fun, low-pressure environment. Led by former MLS professional and SBV Premier coach Ibrahim Kante, the sessions focus on building confidence, social skills, and motor development. Parents can choose between Monday or Friday morning sessions, with drop-off options available.
SBV T.E.A.M.Soccer
TEAMSoccer is an adaptive soccer program designed for players aged 5â18 with physical and/or mental disabilities. The program focuses on individual development rather than league play, pairing players with youth and adult mentors to learn the game in a supportive environment. Sessions are held on weekend mornings at the SCHEELS Overland Park Soccer Complex (Field #12) and combine skill-building drills with fun soccer games. The program is offered free of charge, though medical release forms are required.
SBV Camps
Sporting Blue Valley camps are offered to players ages K-12th Grade and are designed to offer a fun and engaging learning experience for all. Currently we offer Spring Break and Summer Camps, as well as Striker Camps, Fall Break Camps, All-Girls Camps, holiday camps, and more!

We place the highest value on individual player development, and are proud to offer numerous programming options to ensure the best environment for development, regardless of level.
Our Sporting BV Path to Pro has developed over 2,000 collegiate athletes at all levels, NCAA D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and NJCAA. We have sent more boys to the Sporting Kansas City Academy than any other club in the nation, and continue to work closely with the two professional Kansas City pro soccer teams to enrich our pathway through ID sessions, evaluation events, and more.
Each and every Sporting BV program provides age and level appropriate training to allow players to develop the technical mastery, game understanding, and physical training needed to grow and progress.
